    International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA)  An organization dedicated to representing and promoting an open market for manufacturers of playground equipment and surfacing. Goals: To represent and serve all manufacturers of the playground equipment industry. To provide members with timely, in-depth information on key economic and governmental issues affecting the industry. To promote relationships with other related organizations to enhance the strength of the marketplace. IPEMA is a non-profit, membership, trade association.

    National Playground Contractors Association International (NPCAI)  A worldwide partnership formed to contribute to the advancement of the playground building industry by promoting playground installation as a legitimate contracting profession within the playground industry.

    National Playground Safety Institute (NPSI)  In 1989 three NRPA members –– Fran Wallach, Ken Kutska, and Monty Christiansen –– met with then NRPA Executive Director Dean Tice to discuss the feasibility of creating a playground safety-training program to compliment the playground safety standards and guideline efforts of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). It offers the Certified Playground Safety Inspector's course at institutes throughout the U.S. CPSI's are certified to inspect playgrounds for safety issues; making sure that each playground that they inspect, is up to the current National Standards. The National Standards are developed by the ASTM and CPSC.
